She was actually a powerful demon, and she had plans to use Eris for her own evil purposes. Eris was horrified when she learned the truth about Akari, but she was also drawn to her. Eris and Akari went on a journey together, and during that time, Eris learned a lot about Akari. She learned that Akari was not as evil as she seemed. She was actually a lonely and misunderstood creature, who just wanted to be loved. Eris eventually helped Akari to find redemption, and the two of them became close friends.
